But it's on the DAY AFER - wtf? the occasion is on a Saturday seems like that's when it ought to be celebrated?

Anyway - I'll watch the tour, maybe open some Champagne - go out for crepes - but I'm in the mood for something French, any suggestions?

Now that the big Holidays (4th of July & Halloween) are stuck in midweek zone - I feel we need to appropriate some other weekend occuring holidays to make up for the loss

We could go see Ratatoulle again.

(But, in that case, far from the airport. That movie on Bastille Day would put me over the edge.)

I'm gonna be at the beach in Santa Monica for a while tomorrow. I think I'll ending up stopping by at that thing in West L.A. after all. It may be a day late ... but what time is it in France when it's tomorrow here??

You know, we can probably make it to this thing tomorrow - as long as we're not out too late. (Late meaning 8 pm).

Went out for crepes, listened to the band with much applause from us for bringing along an accordianist, Django Reinhardt guitar playing, and Edith Piaf covers.

Looking forward to seeing Le Jetée, and maybe Henry & June, Amélie, or the Dreamers - but we may get a late evening guest and I'm not sure I'm up for the ménage à trois.
In any event, Champagne or Cognac may follow.

I watched the Tour and went out for crepes. The band at the place wasn't very French, but it was entertaining.

Amélie was the choice (as was both Champagne & Cognac) - I miss Montmartre.

This morning I made Bacon as Not Afraid and our guest went out for the Running of the Bulldogs

We'll see if we make it to the other celebrations.

The "other celebrations" on the west of L.A. were beyond lame.

Might have expected that from a "Bastille Day" celebration held the day after Bastille Day.

Count yourself lucky you had Champagne, Cognac, Amelie and whatever french musical delights you posted of earlier.

I had zip in the way of french yesteday. B is for Bastille Day, but also for BAH.
