I'm going to take a guess and say that the one on the left is the pope (or former pope).

In completely unrelated news, in our modern age it must really be difficult for the church to come up with the miracles required for canonization.

I don't get what the post is about. The picture on the left is Pope JPII. The picture on the right appears to just be an interesting but random flame that someone happened to catch out of pure random chance.

lucky shot. of course, in these days it could have been different and manipulated that way by a graphic artist if needed. Much harder to prove anything anymore when you can change photos and even video in some cases.

though it is an interesting likeliness.
