Awww, come on. If this guy is a "hot shot" surely he can do better than that? At least be a bit funnier.

Yeah, it's pretty sad what passes for comedy.

It takes a special kind of smart to identify the tween/teenage boy who is not happy to be in Fantasyland with his family is not happy because he is Goth and not because he is a tween/teenage boy in Fantasyland with his family.

While the concept is amusing, the way the OP of the blog wrote it up is not. The photos do not prove to me that they were not having fun. I don't smile every second I'm there. And just because they are not smiling does not mean they are "trying to act misserable". I see goths there at DL laughing and having a good time often.

Oh, and if I was a tween boy stuck in Fantasyland when I could be riding Space Mountain, I might be misserable myself! ;)

I was pretty miserable at the Park tonight when we stuck around for 3 hours to watch fireworks, the last 45 minutes camped in front of the Castle ... only to have them suddenly cancelled right after the Ghoulish Delight/Cadaverous Pallor-tribute Dradle segment.

Bah.

And I'm not even a Goth.

But I do play one on Goth Day.

my boyfriend having dumped me earlier in the day also did not make for anything less than a miserable day at Disneyland.

I'm sorry you didn't get to see the whole fireworks Steve! I thought they were much more exciting than last year, but I could have just been psyched to see Holiday Believe for the first time in almost a year. What really got me was the fact that they changed the voice from Granny to some temptress, but kept the same dialog! Did anyone else notice this change?

Yes, I miss Granny terribly. I think that was an awful change. But, yeah, the fireworks are better ... and I was really looking forward to seeing them. Pretty sparkly pyroskytechnics make me happy ... and I really needed some cheering up.

The amusing thing to me is the pics are taken from Bats Day photos, and cropped to focus on certain people. I bet you could do the same thing from one of those cheerleader days, that to me would be more amusing. You expect sullen goths, the fun of Bats Day is seeing quite the opposite.
