Wow.
That's pretty much all I have to say at the moment.
I went to my very first gay rodeo today and I absolutely loved it. Brad visited Mecca, y'all.
The LA Rodeo is today and tomorrow with assorted parties thrown here and there.
Just the idea that all these men were gay and hot and cowboys made my heart absolutely swell.
Yes, it was 10,000 degrees F in Thousand Oaks. Yes, I got a really funky farmer's tan from sitting in the sun for six hours. Yes, I came home cowboyless. Yes, some of these boys shouldn't have opened their mouths (looking like Montgomery Clift on the outside and sounding like Charles Nelson Riley when they talked...) :D Yes, I shouldn't have been there being completely and totally broke right now. But I had a great time. Next year it should be some sort of LoT swanking.
There was one intense moment when during one of the events, a cowboy's saddle broke and he fell under his horse. But luckily, he wasn't trampled. But a part of the saddle was still on the horse and it made the horse furious. He ran kicking across the field and then he crashed into one of the fences. He was then loose in the horse trail area behind the event. Pretty scary. But the rider and horse were all checked by first aid (human and horse) and they were fine.
There was this one cowboy there that just made me melt. Hot. From Sacramento or something, thin drink of water. But man, he was a blessing to see in tight jeans.
I wish I had my camera, but for the life of me I can't find mine. It's somewhere around here...
Next year, I'm totally going to volunteer or something.
Color me happy, y'all.
:)
