ComedySportz, last minute, for my birthday!

It's my birthday on Sunday, and I hadn't planned anything. End of April was very busy and I didn't want to even worry about it.

We're going to ComedySportz (http://www.comedysportzla.com/shows/our-shows/comedysportz.html) on Saturday night for the 8pm show. I have a friend in the cast. CSz is one of my favorite things. We used to go all the time, years ago.

It's improvisational comedy, done right in front of you (like Who's Line is it Anyway but better ;) ). I've been meaning to set up a meet for ages and I figured what the hell, last minute is better than never. :D

Who's in? No assigned seating, so we can buy tix separately in advance and save a couple of bucks. There's a link on the site. Show up a bit early so we can all sit together.

I'm hoping as many of my awesome friends as possible show up. I want everyone to see this fun show. That would be a fantastic birthday for me.

I wish I could go. I've seen some of the ComedySportz players in other venues- I think some of them were D.U.H. at DCA a few years ago- and generally love good improv. Hope you have a great birthday!

Yup, D.U.H was mostly CSz folk. There are troops in Sacramento and San Jose, if you wanna catch one a little closer to home.

I'm not sure whether we'll be able to make this - the Rat needs to work tomorrow afternoon/evening so we might not be able to make it up that way in time. However, it looks seriously cool and like a lot of fun, so if we can't make it tomorrow we'd be interested in doing this sometime in the future, if you guys go again.

I'm guessing that they aren't sold out, that they've just stopped selling the cheaper presale tix online now that it's day-of. We'll try to get hold of our friend in the cast and see if he can put some tickets aside for you guys to be sure you get in. If not, hopefully at least one of those going will get there a bit early and can ensure tickets are gotten.

Just talked to him. He can't put tickets aside for us, but he's confident that it's not sold out. He's sure it didn't sell out via presale, and unless a load of people happen to be showing up for tickets at the door it should be fine, but show up earlyish anyway to be sure.


The other option is to try ordering over the phone. 323.871.1193 Press 1 for instructions (after a list of shows and prices) for leaving a message to order tickets. He says that should work if there are still seats.

Thank you everyone for coming! :D :D :D The show was hilarious! They've got some talented players. More fun was had afterwards at the Brite Spot - a perfect location for a late night snacking swanking. I'm so beyond glad that I had the perfect last minute celebration doing one of my favorite things with some of my favorite people.
