Heather bought me the Cloaca t-shirt, hardcover book and coffee mug from the last installation. Good stuff.

Well, he is a little inaccurate in the description:

This is one of theLAST remaining 867-5309 numbers in service.
He should check out this page and this page. (The original on this was here.)

And they've been spelling CP's name wrong all this time! Poor Caddie.

I like his note:

sort of akin to getting blood out of a turnip isnt it?

I guess I don't understand why you'd want that number. It's not like they expect a DJ service when they call, they want Jenny. How is it good to get a bunch of annoying calls?

Capt Jack 02-04-2009 10:32 AM

couldnt agree more. half the time I dont even want the number I have...why would anyone want one that brings in a constant stream of feckless twits?

Its actually not a bad marketing idea. While I would also have a "main" number (as inevitably, one will be getting a lot of "Jenny" calls), it is a great hook to get people to remember your company in what is a highly competitive and saturated market.

The mobile DJ company that I worked for here in Orange County is called "Fly By Night." It is a funny name that people remember. They have been in business for over 30 years and are well known (and they also provide great service to their clients!).
