Its actually not a bad marketing idea. While I would also have a "main" number (as inevitably, one will be getting a lot of "Jenny" calls), it is a great hook to get people to remember your company in what is a highly competitive and saturated market.

The mobile DJ company that I worked for here in Orange County is called "Fly By Night." It is a funny name that people remember. They have been in business for over 30 years and are well known (and they also provide great service to their clients!).

Were you a part of their company in 1994? I think you guys were my DJ at my wedding.

Yes. I have finally 'retired' (after about three years of trying to do so) about 2 years ago. I was with them for about 20 years.

It would be very weird if I were the DJ at your wedding. Do you remember who your DJ was? Oddly, I remember most of the weddings by the location: where was your reception?

Ya think! It was in Mission Viejo in my parents back yard...

More to the point, was he wearing a dress and frilly panties?

If only I'd known that was an option! ;)

Maybe I ought to dig out my wedding album and see... what a strange coincidence that would be!

While I do not claim to remember every wedding I have ever performed, I do not have a recollection of playing any backyard receptions in Mission Viejo.

I just find it so odd that I remember receptions by the location: I have no idea why this is.

BTW: if you have a picture of the DJ and send it to me, I may be able to tell you who it was. I trained many of the DJs around that time.

They wouldn't let me where a dress to the receptions, but I always had the panties on underneath my tux.

Naked hikers in Switzerland to be fined

Here's my favorite part of the article, right at the end.

It was not clear where the naked hikers would find the money, although hikers often carry rucksacks.
How cheeky.
