Pardon me, "breathless and skittery" was the term used. In any case, upon sleeping on it, talking with a couple of author friends, Rudolph Valentino Book Proposal and the Temple of Doom: Part II, the Sequel will begin production in January 2008.

Valid criticism and good suggestions on where to refocus the proposal and clarify the intent of the proposal and book are in there, as well a few snarky comments, so it's all good (including the pin pricks).

At least they are interested in it and looking for funding and more from me. I've got a phone call in to the editor and we'll see what advice she has for me.

I guess I should start working on those photos then

Another bump in the road

My editor and advocate has left the publisher I've been talking to and working with. Back to square one with them. :(

On the bright side, I'm now free to look elsewhere.

I've got a querry in to the Academy, this is right up their alley. Of course, I am not an academic, nor do I have any real creds when it comes to scholarship, so this is whistling in the dark. At least I have contacts at the Academy that could push this through.

Or bite the bullet and go with blurb.

Bah.

You're all about 70's pop culture references today, aren't you.

I know how much this means to you Snowflake. I am so sorry for the setback but I hope that the ship will be righted soon enough and that it will work out better than anything in your wildest dreams! :)

I dig it, man! Can you dig it? Hang loose, man!

Oh, Snowflake. I am sorry. Publishing is such a crap shoot.

I'll tell you this much: I want to read your book. There is a public out there for what you are doing.

I never hug but for you, an exception. ((((Snowflake))))

Breastless and Slippery ? I would't call you... Oops, wrong glasses.

Thanks! I've not given up, but bah humbug nonetheless.

That said, I'll hang onto the glimmer of hope of an Academy publication. That would be ideal. I've got contacts, we just need the planets, moons and stars to align.
