I'm excited and must share

feel free to move this to the parking lot, but I'm really excited. Some of you know I am writing a book on my lifelong obsession. the field with regard to Valentino has been very busy in the last couple of years, but I crossed a major obstacle today. It's official, I have a literary agent who is going to shop my book around. I do not harbor any illusions that this is not going to be anything other than very steep uphill climb to publication. For today I will be happy to have made it to base camp with an agent on my side who is excited about my project.

Secondly, I've had the most amazing coup pretty much drop right into my lap. One of Valentino's close friends was a cameraman and photographer. His (the photographer's) personal scrapbook of photos, candid, never published before photos, has just come to light and there is a very good chance I will have free access to use them in my project. Half that deal has been set already.

Wow, it's been quite a day!

Very cool! It's a hell of a lot easier to get published if you have an agent, and if you do score on the photog friend all the better! Wtg, Snow!
