I love those optical illusions and was actually going to use some on a billboard we were considering. Ended up going a different direction with it though I still like the idea of a giant optical illusion on the side of the freeway.

TeeTee, back when that movie Meteor came out, they plastered the loooong side of a building right abutting the 405 Freeway thru West L.A. with one of the first of those building-size graphic overlays. Hardly anyone had seen one before.

It was an overlay of a HUGE meteor hole through the entire building, knocking out like 14 floors, with a fantastic painting of exactly what it looks like going south on the 405 facing the soutbound lanes, and a different painting of the northern view for the northbound lanes.


Um, one multi-car pile-up later, and that advert was down within the week. I don't think anyone was killed, but WTF were they thinking to mess like that with drivers on the San Diego Freeway?
