Except that is the question that the video is trying to raise: if they shouldn't, but did, and in their view it was obviously staged, then what can be inferred from them airing it anyway?

The "point" the video is trying to say is flawed in the same manor as your phrasing of the question. It's based on inconclusive arguments and blatant speculation.

Who made this video? Why did they make it?

At least with 60 Min. and other mainstream media, they don't hide who they are and what they are doing.
