I've only heard him on NPR, and I've had his books on my list of to-do, and I haven't. I really need to work through that amazon wish list....

his pieces on NPR have been wonderful, I agree with Alex, his voice and manner of turning a phrase are hysterical.

The first piece he read was a "disclaimer" about truth in his work. He clarified that there were only 2 pieces of information that were incorrect in the stories we were going to hear (both of them hilarious minutea). He went on to allude to James Frey (how could a fu<king alcoholic lie to you???) and then talked about his wife "Gail" and assured us he was being "straight" wil us.

It was a great start to a great program.

I love David Sedaris. When we saw him, he signed our copy of "Dress Your Family"... he wrote "To Brad and Ralphie, two cocks*ckers in Monterey. Love, David Sedaris".

Love the books...not sure I've ever actually read one though.

Oh good, will be happy to get a new read from him! Was uber disappointed in Dress Your Family....but will always have "is them the thoughts of cows?" to fall back when I need to hyperventilate with laughter. C and L you two are the coolest...always.
