That'd be cool to have a moose in my pool! If I had a pool.

Yes, they are enormous. I saw a few in the water when touring Yellowstone with my grandparents. So gorgeous though.

This is still my favorite moose site: http://moosefarm.newmail.ru/mfe01.htm

My closest encounter with a large animal- having just moved to Montana, it's January, I've got three drunks in the car, I'm the only sober one (thus I'm driving), it's icy, and I'm driving down a mountain road at midnight. Oh, yeah, and I'm driving an older car that we just bought and I'm not familiar with yet.

There's a very large elk in the road. Panic, much? Oh, yeah. There was no way I was going to be able to stop. Not in the short distance to him. Luckily he moved. I didn't think I was driving too fast but neither was I going to be stopping quickly enough.

Those things are big, too.

I'm still mad that we didn't see any moose hanging out in Anchorage. Did see one on the river, but none in the city, which is the trippier part.

"Moose in my pool" would be a good band name.

"Moose Butt" would be better.

No, due to the cold, it's nose froze to the window. The head and torso stayed in the window until the spring thaw, at which time the Moose Butt retured for the rest of the moose....

of course it did, silly old bear!

I'm just being thorough, you know, in the name of science.

I was walking to get my mail yesterday and my shows were leaving imprints in the asphalt. It was hot here yesterday (my car thermometer said 114 when I got home at 4:00).

Dry heat or not, I think I'd die in that heat.
