Interesting, I thought the reviews seem to match what the trailers show exactly.

As far as I can tell, I've only ever liked one movie with Michael Bay's name attached - the first Pirates

Bay had nothing to do with Pirates. THANK GOD.

D'oh! Right - Jerry Bruckheimer produced pirates - I'm afraid he and Bay are all but synonymous in my muddled head sometimes.

I watched T2RotF yesterday at the Universal City Walk. Firstly -- This was the second movie I saw at UCW in two years and both times there was no air conditioning!! (The first time I demanded and got my money back but this time my friend insisted we stay, so ...) About a quarter of the way through the air came on, so it was not broken so much as it was apparently just kept off to save some money. Thanks Universal. The inside of the cinema resembled the cliche of the Southern courtroom, everybody sitting silently fanning themselves. The mother next to me covered her children's head in wet towels. It made me wonder ... am I the only who complains about these things?

Overall, I enjoyed the movie. T2 was big, loud, dumb, supersized and charged up. Every single dollar spent was on the screen and I was pretty blown away. Yeh, the plot was ridiculous, the acting was silly, the jokes sophmoric, but for twelve bucks, it was a hell of a ride.

Tref sez, check it out (but only on the big screen)

I was blown away a few times-

Spoiler:
The forest battle scene was incredible. Prime's death was powerfully done. I liked almost ALL of the last part of the movie in the desert. I thought finding Jetfire in the Smithsonian was clever. I actually LIKED Wheelie and when they ditched him I was annoyed.

CP- I thought that the trailers showed a movie like the first one- which I loved. Something that would draw me in and make me laugh and love it like the first one-it didn't. The bad writing, inconsistencies and junior high school jokes took me out of the fun over and over.

Thought I did love
Spoiler:
when they tricked the Gov't asshat into pulling his parachute while on the plane and he gets sucked out

Ok-things I liked:
Spoiler:

* the relationship with the parents. How mom could not stand to see him go off to college and dad was being big and brave- but when he thought he had lost Sam or was afraid he would he showed how much he dreads losing his little boy too.

* the scene where Prime takes on the parts of Jetfire.

*blowing away Devastator with the giant gun on the ship in the Gulf

*Mikaela killing the Decepticon college chickie

*The emotional response I had to seeing characters I love- Ironhide and Ratchet and Prime and Bumblebee- how I felt when Prime dies and how glad I was they brought him back. Watching Bumblebee kick ass- and shred Ravage all to hell.

*the underwater scenes were cool

*The battle scenes as a whole were fun

*Frenzy's head on display in the secret basement

*Wheelie- except for the leg humping. "That's my eye you crazy bitch!"

*The way they handled the Gov't jackass

*Mom freaking out about the psychotic robot in her garage- it was nice to learn that his parents knew about Bumblebee

*Anything with Megan Fox because even I like looking at her

*watching Devastator transform was wicked and cool

*Prime kicking ass at the end of the movie

oops another thing I hated-
Spoiler:
*The dog humping stuff "Mojo don't dominate Frankie"

Maybe I need to see it again with my expectations more in line with what it is and not what I hoped it would be.
