Sorry to go back a couple stories - but WTF is with everybody saying that the video of the screaming fat kid is on a rollercoaster? It's a slingshot ride - a ride that can terrify even a freak like me - what a mean mom.

Interesting. I don't think I've ever even heard of that word before.

I've heard it. Not in common use, but I knew what it meant. I didn't know it was Norwegian! That's cool.

It's every American's duty!

Ah, yes, ignorance in action. ::sigh:: Got to wonder about the people who are so quick to be offended over something they don't actually know the meaning of.

"Hatred has no place in our culture," McDonald's USA spokesman Bill Whitman told the Post. "That includes McDonald's, and we stand by and support our people to live and work in a society free of discrimination and harassment."
You know, for this, I would go off my "diet" and partake of a McDonald's something. Give Bill Whitman a shiny gold star!

This dude has it backwards. Their dollars are being put into an organization that's going to fight FOR the values they DON'T believe in. Gays are not fighting against anybody's rights or values, they are fighting for their own to be respected and accepted.

Well, I had McDonalds for lunch and I feel like ralphing!

No one has a right to be respected or accepted. It is common decency to do so, but they are not rights to be expected.

I realize many people will be angry over that, but I believe it's true.

Everyone has a right to be treated equally by the law. That is a form of respect and acceptance.

I didn't say they were fighting to be personally accepted by the world at large. The fight is for their legal rights to be accepted by the government, which I personally think is not only possible, but within our generation's grasp.

That I certainly agree with.
