This looks to be a good year. Fingers crossed, I should become "permanent" at the job in April. May signals a significant positive life changing event, with another to follow, hopefully, in early 2015. My resolution is to not screw any of that up and to enjoy everyone in my life as long as I can while they are still here.

Good for you Pru! High hopes for the permanent gainful employment in April and all the other good things!

2013 started out good for me, then the last 6 months, between various injuries and plain old lack of discipline, my gym attendance fell off. I have the OKAY from my doctor to return to the gym, but watch the knee pressures very carefully. So, work off the lower part of the body might need some creative workarounds, no squats at present or machines that really stress them.

I guess nearly a month in to the new year, that is my resolution, to get back in the gym and get to feeling better and get some of the weight I've put back on, off. I know I will feel better, my blood sugar numbers will go back down (they inched up to just above normal fasting and I need to watch it).

Sad irony of life, I love to bake and always adjust for lower sugar and eat smaller portions and I'm pretty good at it. But, need to reign in my consumption of the baked goodies in favor of more veg as a snack!

Snow is there a pool at your gym? Swimming would be less stress on the knees.

Alas, Katie, no pool. besides, I would not be caught dead in a suit right now. :-) too scary for the other patrons!

I can do the weight machines and bike, looking forward to it.
