Either music is getting more interesting again, or my interest in music has been renewed. I want to see more bands, go to clubs, and buy music like I haven't in a long time.

There's a funny website that catalogues the funny things people overhear on the subway. Your comment about the "mother ship" reminds me of that.

Perhaps it's not that music is getting more interesting, but the delivery systems are better. Internet + word of mouse + downloadable music + iPods + podcasts + LOT, etc. You don't have to go underground to hear harder to find good bands anymore. The underground has found a way to come to us. Music Moles!

Heh.

Or maybe Moo Cows are a tougher, scarier, demonic cow, as you say. Hmmmmm. Or has he been sneaking stand-up comedy acts on cable. Has he heard the term Moo Cow F#@k Milk? What are you watching around that kid?!

The thing is, he's ok with moo cows in general. Ask him what one says and he'll respond, "moooooooooo." Moo cows come on tv, he doesn't mind. He even has several farm toys that include cows that he plays with.

One day mid-afternoon I was at my computer and he comes up and says, "Mommy! Moo cow!" I asked him what moo cow and he responded, "Moo cow hurt me!" I told him moo cows won't hurt him that they are nice. He just accepted it and said, "Oh. Moo cow nice. Ok." I soon forgot about it. Than a week or so later he comes up to me and says moo cow again. So I aks him where. He goes and knocks on his playroom door and calls, "Moooo coooow!" Now that really freaked me out!

Than there was an incident with a bird scratching on the window and he saw the shadow moving and thought the shadow was making the scary sound, and has been afraid of shadows and a little bit afraid of the dark since. He woke up in the middle of the night saying, "Moo cow scare me!" one night and has brought it up a few more times since. The last time was last night when he said moo cow was in bed with Daddy. (That freaked Michael out a little bit.)

Somewhere in the middle of all this I watched the Sixth Sense, which was a HUGE mistake because it scared the crap out of me! Really, I think that Indi had a dream or something about a cow and he's too young to understand dreams. Or he has a good imagination. He doesn't seem too scared, but he talks about it scaring him.

Either way, it's late and I'm rambling and it's time to go sleep with the moo cow!

I need to knock off this Horoscope stuff. I get an email each day with the Horoscope for the next day. And I know this is total horse****, but...

Example for tomorrow: Sept 13th.

“The process is more important than the result today -- but continue to keep your goals squarely in mind.”

Hypothetically that doesn't mean much, but for about 3 second while it is downloading in my email I have a moment of hope that maybe it should.

Life's little disappointments....

Hmmmm.. late to the party as usual..

First off #6.. I still have to figure out why I enjoy straight men playing gay men and making out in a movie... SO hot I can't believe it. Plus it's Jake Gyllenhall. Hot so hot I need to breathe slower...

Okay and music.. I wish I had more time as well to go out and see more bands. I mean I finally find a whole bunch of bands I like and of course they are all playing within the next two months. I can't take THAT much time away from my son and school and oh the money!! (especially since I like to drink and enjoy myself . All those 8 dollar plastic cups of Guiness add up.) My interest in music has certainly gained momentum since my son is at school all day. There is so much great song writing going on right now, you just have to find it. (but it's out there.) I miss when music ruled my life and I went to a show almost every weekend. But then I guess returning to that would turn me into a slacker again.... damn.

Plastic cups of Guinness? That's sacrilege!

This new smilie looks like a rabid pirate to me --> :argghh:
But I like this one --> :decap:

My life is pretty mediocre right now. I mean, I really don't have a lot to complain about, except that I've lived here for almost 2 years now and really don't have any single friends.

Rabid! Nice! I said he looks like he's been eating mashed potatoes or, perhaps, has an ear of white corn stuck to his face.

What is it supposed to look like anyhow?

He looks like a Pirate Zombie, with part of his face decaying away. I like him!:snap:

CoasterMatt 09-13-2005 05:55 PM

:argghh: I thought it was a pirate who had suffered a stroke.. :argghh:
