Hey €uro... I feel you. I'm also completely disgusted with my job - but the steady income and insurance is a shackle at the moment. What sucks is that I know that finding a new career is all I need to move us along, either back east or down to LA... but I'm just sitting and stewing. Last night I was as disconsolate as I've been in a long long while. I'm just sharing 'cos I hear that misery loves company.
On the brighter side, I can attest that I had a great time this past weekend at Casa de Meinke - you have a wonderful home and great friends. If you can remember that work is just what we need to do to facilitate life, then perhaps it will be a bit more bearable (at least that's what I'm telling myself). Heather and I look forward to crepe-ing with you very soon. |
![]() Welcome to the Brotherhood Lumbo dogs on the house for everyone! |
We have a Trader Vic's opening up here on the 6th. I realize you have several down there, but ours is *new*! Plus there's Palisade on Elliot Bay, Ohana in Belltown...yup, I think it's time for a cheering-up road trip. :p

Hating your job sucks. I hate my real job, so I've found that my hobby is what I immerse myself in, which is coaching HS basketball. Is there anything you have the time to immerse yourself in that is pure enjoyment and distraction?

![]() "Always look on the bright side of life...." :D We love ya. Don't let the bastards get you down! |

I sentence you to be hanged by the neck until you cheer up!

At least you didn't crash a $1.3 million car!

Awww - you guys are the best, I'm somewhere between a blush and being misty eyed.
You know a year ago, I was pretty happy with my job - lot's of opportunities, lots of cool new things, working with some really bright people. But for some reason, the same job is now a struggle (I'll leave my more extensive rantings for a more private venue). On the plus side, I've donre the groundwork in the past that should help me change things in the future - I'm just not sure how much longer I can (or should) wait and be patient. I must confess, ISMs suggestions give me the greatest pleasure - though I think any commune we put together would have to be something swankier than a farm. Surely we can found our own urban bohemia? Perhaps Motorboat Cruiser can add a dash of his entreprenureal thinking into the mix to make it happen? Aww in any case - Thank You LoT for at least giving me my very own virtual bohemia to come home to. |
