Scaeagles, why do I have the feeling that you are living vicariously through GD, and by goading him you are living out a fantasy that your wife would never allow?

GD- if you really, really want these things, offer to let CP chuck out one item that is currently in your home that she despises. Oh, and buy her something really nice. You must also mention at least three times in mixed company what a great sport she is, because anyone who would allow those chairs into their domicile is either a frat boy bachelor, or someone who is very cool who also happens to be married to a former frat boy bachelor.;)

Okay, the stadium seat saga continues...

Like I said, I told my sister about my purchase, whose response was, "That's silly...or not! I'm buying a couple!"

Well, she told her friend about them, whose response was, "That's silly...hmm, but now that I think about it, my fiancee's a huge Dodger fan and I need to a wedding gift for him." So she decided to get one, after consulting a bunch of other friends to decide which ones to get (she eventually decided on the yellow box seats because those are his favorite seats to see a game in).

But it doesn't end there. Shortly after she purchased the seats, she and her fiancee were at a party. While in another room, she over hears a friend ask her husband if he's heard that the Dodgers are selling seats, so she of course listens carefully for his reacion to see if he will eventually enjoy his gift. He says, "Yeah...don't tell Liz, but I bought a pair of yellow box seats this morning!" She immediately yells, "What?!" He thinks he's completely boned, having spent $250 without telling her on something completely ridiculous. Meanwhile she can't decide whether to be mad about, annoyed that her awesome gift has been spoiled, or delighted that she was right that he'd love the seats as a gift!

I swear, these seats are going to be worth a lifetime of stories.
