Just tell him you're going for the bonfire (I assume there are fire pits?), no need to worry about the rest of it.

We will be most relieved to be home with our precious baby, whom we are deserting this weekend....*sniff*...so it may be hard to tear ourselves away from housebound family bliss. I'm sure we'll consider it though.

If we do come we'd be able to stay until 6pm or so.

I hope there's cell phone service down amongst those tide-pools. I'll have to participate via remote breadcast from the shores of the World Showcase Lagoon. Perhaps a baguette from the France pavilion, no? Is it high tide, low tide, or sunset? I don't recall.

There may be cell service, but there's no fire pits. It's not a beach. Even it it were, there are no fire pits at beaches in L.A., except for Dockweiler under the flight path at LAX.

Tide pools. Rocky. Potentially Wet. Bring appropriate footwear, if you can.

PV cell coverage can be sketchy at best.

And, yeah about the shoes. Bring 2 pair - one a water or tennis shoe with traction.

What should the other pair be? I suggest CFMPs for the wenches :evil:

I'd love to come to this—I had a blast at the last one—but I have a show that night so I won't be able to fully participate in the festivities. So count me in as a partial.
