Officials have installed four Advanced Surveillance and Protection, or ASAP, cameras on major thoroughfares throughout the city in hopes of deterring criminals.

"We have had problems for a long time, and the businesses and residents that reside in that area said, `you know, we need to do something about it,"' Lynwood Mayor Maria Santillan said.

The surveillance cameras are currently being monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Don't come to Lynwood if you're looking for a prostitute, they're aren't going to be any around," Sheriff Lee Baca said during a news conference Saturday.

That seems like a lot of money just to watch.

I prefer pix over movies. Or, er um, I WOULD prefer pix over movies if I were into that sort of filth.

IF I were into porn, I MIGHT try using Google Search, using the Image option and making sure that the Safe Search option was turned off. I would guess that just about any search word one threw in would provide results*.

Not that I condone that kind of abhorrent behavior.
