Velvet Thoughts
 

I need to pick your brains about velvet. Do you love? hate?

Well, I need to see Blue Velvet again.


As a fabric, though, I love touching it ... but don't want to own anything made from it.

I think Elvis sort of ruined the velvet industry.

The tactile feeling of velvet kind of oogs me out. So not for me.

I'm with Alex - I don't like how it feels.

mostly I gauge is by what it's been/being used for.

I like it/have used it as a liner for custom storage boxes. gives a nice classy texture.

hate it for interiors on cars regardless of color....(the exception being the back of a hearse)

IMO, it is NEVER TO BE USED AS CANVAS, regardless of the subject

Ive seen some incredible gowns and other costume pieces created from it. for a certain effects, its hard to beat.

its also easy to go overboard with it.

My thoughts are the same as CJ's.
