A new use for Altoids
 

I think this might require a reconvening (er, if it's the first time, is it a convening?) of the LoT Chemistry Experiment Society.

Put the mint in the coco(cola), shake it all up!

The original artical said Mentos (the title of the thread said Altoids). Never having had a Mentos, what is the difference?

I don't give a crap about the scientific explanation. I just wanna see stuff blow up!

If you put "mentos cola" into a youtube search you get a lot to watch. I saw this a while ago, and a lot of people have done it since as well.

D'oh! I heard it on NPR and thought they said "altoids." Silly me.

Nevertheless. I really want to experiment...

I would imagine that Altoids would produce the same effects. We just need someone (cough, coastermatt, cough) to do the research.

Mentos are candy-coated wussy mints. I'm someone who likes a mint that will burn your mouth. Starbucks mints and peppermint oil :evil:
