Shameless request to play World of Warcraft
[Moderators, please wield that ban stick if this is inappropriate.]
For anyone here who has not played World of Warcraft, I'm looking at you! Blizzard, the game's publisher, has started a new "recruit-a-friend" program that nets the referee an in-game zebra mount. MUST. HAVE. MOUNT!! Here are some details: Quote:
Just be warned that the triple experience and such is I think only good for the two months. I can park a toon to group with you but be warned I spend a fair amount of time in raids and dungeons with my high-level characters so I won't always be available. Help help! Help give Lani a zebra pony!! |
This is like asking your friends to try Crystal Meth.
I'm thinking of requesting that you be banned. ;) |
If you need people to join to get you a zebra pony, I will join, but I don't have one ounce of time left in my life to play.
The rest of your post was unintelligible to me. Me don't comprehend gaming . |

Heh, I was going to post "the first one's free" but thought it wouldn't be nice ;)
|
I am really not a gamer - haven't the patience. And I too have too little free time.
But good luck in your quest pusher! |
Awww, good luck! If my i-crack needs weren't already being fulfilled by Second Life I'd join in a rapid heartbeat!

A couple of friends have tried to get into WoW but I've avoided it. It sounds like something I'd get addicted to and probably should avoid it.
:) |
I tried playing WoW, and while I thought the virtual world and the character designs were incredibly cool, I was horribly intimidated by the live, social aspect of the game. The fact that all those other characters were real people made me nervous, and indeed, I was called several unkind things within my first hour, simply by trying to ask questions and find my way around.
I stuck with it for a few days, just going off on solo quests and hunting down little critters. But I felt nervous and out of place, and I can't imagine ever joining up with others on a dungeon crawl and risking becoming the goat who ruins it for everyone. It's just me. I'm uncomfortable in large groups, among strangers, etc, and online anonymity doesn't alleviate that distress for me. On the other hand, I'm perfectly happy playing such games in person, around a table, with friends. Oh well. |
