Nope. Plenty, plenty of vegan foods raise HDL and LDL. You can raise LDL by eating popcorn cooked in coconut oil (i.e. movie theater popcorn), or chocolate, anything hydrogenated or deep-fried. You can raise your HDL by eating good oils, most of which are vegetable-based.

Like Traci said, it's really just the B12 that's missing from a vegan diet. And most vegans I know take multivitamins with B12 in it.
