I'd guarantee you my immortal soul if you can bring me a person employed as a <erk> lobbyist who does not give "gifts" to representatives.
Any "gift", no matter how small or incidental, completely negates the concept of equal representation for all, no matter how the rep ends up voting. This is my solid stance on the profession.
If lobbying actually was "just talking", I'd have no problem with it.
