I purchased the Linksys because (amongst other reasons)m Tivo (at the time), only had one wireless access point on it's recommended list (and that is the one I purchased).

It is set to all modes. FWIW, the router is a G, the Wireless cards in the old Mac and in Susan's PC (which I haven't checked yet) are all G. The new Mac is N. If I recall correctly, the WAP hooked up to the Tivo is B.
So far, everything is working okay since I did the earlier off then on of the New Mac's Airpoort card.
