It's possible that the new Mac is running a faster protocol (either g or n) and the router is detecting that and switching to the higher speed mode, leaving it incommunicado as far as the slower devices are concerned. It is set to all modes. FWIW, the router is a G, the Wireless cards in the old Mac and in Susan's PC (which I haven't checked yet) are all G. The new Mac is N. If I recall correctly, the WAP hooked up to the Tivo is B.

So far, everything is working okay since I did the earlier off then on of the New Mac's Airpoort card.

I did to, but it didn't like my encryption - which I just checked and is WPA. WEP is the less secure of the two, but is what the TiVO will take from the Linksys card I have.

I'm researching if the TIVO branded card has the same restrictions.

So far, everything is working okay since I did the earlier off then on of the New Mac's Airpoort card.
