Called insurance company and it's different than auto. The owners should be able to get it paid for through theirs, but ours has nothing to do with it.
Autos are insured two different ways - Individual and Vehicle. Whole different scenario.
If the dog had done damage to our home it would be something they could step in on. But damage to our dog....nope.
