Some times the oddest things happen to me...

So yesterday while out with my coworker for lunch, we were driving out of a parking lot and I happened to notice a gentleman driving into the parking lot. I, liking what I saw, gave him a smile. Didn't really think anything about it except "Wow, he was cute". A few minutes later while in a drive thru this same gentleman came up to my coworkers car and the conversation went something like this...

Guy "Hey are you single"

Me "Who me or her?"

Guy "You"

Me (yey for me) "Yea why?" Smile

Guy "Why are you single?"

Me (ok that's a personal question) "Well I broke up with my ex this time last year which is why I'm single. Why do you want to know"

Guy "O just curious"

Me "Well my name's Teena, what's your name"

Guy "Name, nice to meet ya" and proceeds to walk away.

Me "HEY! Where you going??"

Guy disappears back into the sea of men without a response.

So did I mention that it was weird?? What I'd like to know is what the hell was that about? I mean if your gonna make the play for someone, even if you're disappointed or something, wouldn't you at least make the effort to ask for a number. You go outta your way but you don't ask? Was I supposed to do it? I need an explanation here people!
