Seriously-- you're barking up the wrong trees if the women you're interested in are interested only in jerks. I remember being hugely frustrated when I was younger, when men I had crushes on would say "all women are only interested in a-holes"-- no, just the a-holes that YOU'RE interested in.

Might I suggest an online dating site? It is how I met my lovely husband. I pounced on him when I discovered he was kind, sensitive and interested in fun things like art, history, travel, silent movies and Stephen Sondheim musicals (AND was straight.)

Okay, I'll fess up. I actually know two single women. Two. One is way out of my league and the other has made it quite clear that I'm the example to her ex-husband that she can be "just friends" with a man.

And if you remember the history of my marriage, you might say I have mega-baggage regarding online hookups.
