Lloyd Alexander

Lloyd Alexander, beloved author of The Black Cauldron died yesterday at age 83.

I remember as a kid reading his entire Prydain series. In fact, The Horned King, was the book that really introduced me to High Fantasy. It was the second "fantasy" book I had ever read, the first being The Hobbit. From there was born my love of fantasy and magic.

So goodbye Lloyd you shaped my life in ways I cannot begin to explain.
