Anyone know Disneyland return policy on entrance media? If, say, we've purchased 2 1-day park hoppers 2 weeks ago and have yet to use them, can we go back and just hand them back for a refund?

I realized today that supermarkets sell 1-day park hoppers, and they're plastic cards instead of stupid paper tickets. We're spending the day at the parks with my sister in her husband next week and it'd be much easier for them to have the plastic gift cards all day, but in our zeal to avoid standing in ticket lines the day-of, we already purchased paper tickets during one of our recent visits.

I'm guessing you would need the receipt or proof of payment to show you didn't get them off ebay. I think the direct line is 714-781-7290.

Thanks for the number. They said the receipt would be best but it might work with the purchasing card. CP's got the tickets, I'll see if she kept the receipt with them.

If you get stonewalled, contact us. Our passes have expired and we may buy the paper tickets off of (which we would then upgrade to passes. The only thing that might make it tricky is that we were going to use a couple of Disney Dollar cards for our purchase.

I used a Disney Gift Card towards an AP upgrade, no problem, so I don't see why you couldn't use Disney Dollars either.

Or, if y'all are Costco members and your old pass has already expired, you can purchase a $269 Deluxe Pass at Costco -- it is full price, but comes with a $50 gift card that you can use to upgrade to premium (or for whatever else you want... that's what I did and it worked like a charm). I'm not sure how you could finagle the price of the 1-park tickets onto that one though if you bought it off the gruesome twosome.

An interesting tidbit from another site....

Multiple people have reported that AP's are good for fastpasses even if they were not scanned in at the front gate that day.

If you can't return them, let me know. I have a friend who is going to SoCal with her daughter in a few weeks who wants to spend a day at the Park and was asking about ticket specials, etc. Her mom lives down there, so I recommended a SoCal pass, but I couldn't remember the particulars on pricing, etc.

That's been true in the past -- especially when FastPass was first introduced -- but it hasn't worked in several years. Unless Disney has changed something very recently.
