Mr Wizard died today,http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=265522&GT1=7703 Obviously I wasnt' old enough to watch him in the 50's but I must have seen reruns. I also remember seeing him on tv in the 80's and thinking he was still cool! He made science easier to understand and play with for me

According to a recent article, Don Herbert, known as "Mr. Wizard" on television for 14 years as he introduced a generation of younger viewers to basic science on Saturday mornings beginning in 1951, insisted doctors only treat his disease with "common items found around the house."
