Well, I really enjoyed it. It was piratey, arrrrr.

I was really disappointed by the post-credit scene. I could've predicted that ending. I was hoping for some hot undead monkey action.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. An amusing diversion. I really liked Jonathan Pryce's rowboat scene...

It was just OK for me. Found myself bored during a lot of it, but was never really confused at all the different plot lines.

But as I think about it, I keep dwelling on the parts I didn't like, so perhaps those hold more weight with me. Jack's hallucinations....funny, I suppose, for the first minute, but it went on and on and on and on....got old really fast. The proposal and wedding during the battle. Stupid. Just left me with an "eh" feeling. I'm not usually picky about movies....I liked Dead Man's Chest. |

Overall, I liked it. It was very long, and could maybe have been trimmed.

Jack's hallucinations; went on maybe too long. The crab thing.... ? Cut it. I like Tia Dalma, so I hesitate to say cut her storyline. I do wish that had been done better, maybe. I loved the wedding. I loved Barbossa's opening for it! I loved that Liz was once in a while useful, holding her own in battle. Of course there were still the "maiden in distress" moments but bleh. I hear the critics hate this, but I rarely agree with their assessments anyway.

I loved Barbossa's dialogue before they dropped! That whole sequence was my personal highlight in what was otherwise a very meh movie. And I totally agree with Scaeagles about the wedding. I thought it slowed the pacing and detracted from the battle between Jack and Davy Jones, which was far more exciting. As for the post credit scene? So throwaway. I was really hoping they would have made some attempt to resolve the plot with Davy Jones and Tia Dalma, which was the only relationship in the movie I even remotely cared about.

Okay, I'll say it. I loved the movie!

Sure, there were extraneous scenes that could've gone away without hurting the whole. I didn't care for the multiple Jacks, but they did help set up the great entrance of Jack and the Pearl. The Tia Dalma/Calypso supbplot begged either exclusion or expansion, and I don't think the movie could've survived expansion. Overall, though, I was happy with the resolutions given. Setting the Elizabeth/Will story up as the beginning what would become a great tragic sea tale satisfies my sense of the romantic. The maelstrom battle was wonderfully epic. And I think this was one of the best movie weddings ever! I may be a sap, but I'm a happy sap! see you at the zoo ron |

Susan said it was fun and funny.

And she was on the E! news story about the midnight showing at El Capitan. She was right behind one of the twin Jack Sparrows. So was the RAC, Susan's sister and sister's husband. But if you blinked, you missed it.

I liked it. The family liked it. Yeah - those parts you speak of - I just don't think about them much. I would like a little Calypso/Jones resolution though.

All of you saying it was enjoyable are annoying me because I really don't want to see it. But the more I hear the more I kinda do. But not really!
