I do believe that I'll be doing a little volunteering with some kiddies on the 31st, but that's a little earlier on - not sure what after that.

I'm happy because I actually do have plans this year. Most years I don't have a reason to dress up, but this year I have a party to go to. It's not actually on Halloween though, it's Saturday the 20th. Not sure why they didn't pick the 27th or the saturday after Halloween, but at least it's a party. I was thinking about doing one of my own on the 27th, but I've fallen behind on my remodeling projects and the house won't be ready yet. I might still have just a couple of people over one night to watch scary movies or something.

I usually only get less than a dozen trick or treaters, so that's not too exciting.

As far as dressing up goes, I'm gonna be Silent Bob for the party. The only person there I'm gonna know ahead of time is the hostess, so I figure I can play off my shyness as part of the character.

You should go the other way and dress as Jay so you can dance your ass off, get in people's faces and swear constantly in a Jersey accent.

Ahh to bad you can't hang out at the old apartment and leave a lasting legacy.

Dress in a nuns habit, hand out holy cards, and damn all the trick-or-treaters to hell before spritzing them with holy water. Ya know, something for them to remember you by....

If I was a skinny blonde guy, I might consider it. Since I'm a fat guy with a beard, I'm playing towards my strengths. Besides, I can still dance as Bob. I've even included the Time in my Halloween music mix this year.

I think I've mentioned before what I went as the last time I dressed up for Halloween back in HS...I thought I talked about it on this board, but couldn't find the post. I'm betting MBC remembers.

Anyway, if you do....My office has a costume competition....I'm thinking it wouldn't be appropriate.

We'll be at Mickey's Not So Scary the weekend before.

Lani is trying to talk me into dressing up so I may wear slacks instead of jeans. But probably not.

Nickolas has (finally) setteled on a cheap, easy costume. He is a fan of Ed, Edd & Eddy on Cartoon Network. He will be a DCA as Ed on the 12th. It consists of a red/white striped shirt, jeans, tennies and a green, collarless jacket. All I have to do is add some yellow stripes down the arms of the jacket (I bought yellow eletrical tape) and give him a mono-brow (using an old eyeliner). I wanted him to be Edd, the smart one, but nooooo. He will be driving me nuts within the first 30 minutes. For those not familiar with teh show, Ed is not the sharpest crayon in the box and has a real need to pet chickens.

He had told me that he no longer wants to TorT, but is still waffeling.

As for me, I too, am going cheap and easy (insert Kevy comment here). I am going to be a tacky, middle aged tourist/crazy pin trading lady. I will be diggin out a mouse ears headband, DLR tote bag, a light up Mickey necklace and borrowing some of Nick's pins and laynard.

As for the night itself, Nickolas will, once again, have to set out the decorations before I get home from work. If he stays with me that night he will hitchhike with some neighbors to do his house-to-house, but, being a good, caring mom, I did tell him he can always call his dad and go out with Her kids. I don't mind, as long as David comes to get him and then brings him home after (let David use his gas).

I will hang out with my nextdoor neighbors, handing out candy and drinking margaritas.

Susan came up with a great idea for us, but it will need to be saved for a party (of which I don't know of any this year).

Although with the precedent I have set, I could shock everybody and show up in regular clothes.

We're going to a family party on the 27th. Michael and I are going as Tonks and Remus Lupin. I found loads of cool costumes at Goodwill, so Indi can choose what he wants (though he may want to be something we don't have, he's waffling). I think he's set on Batman. I don't know what to dress Jade up as. She really likes Dora right now, so that might be an easy way to go. I wish Halloween were longer.
