There must be some weird rock densities between my workplace and Borrego Springs, because there was a huge separation between the so-called p- and s-waves. I felt the initial movement, it lasted for maybe 6-10 seconds. I was looking around to see if anyone else felt it. I saw a few others looking around. After the shaking stopped, there was enough time that myself and another coworker kept looking around for a couple seconds before making eye contact, giving a "yup, that just happened" nod to each other, standing up, acknowledging a few more people who'd felt it, starting in on a conversation...THEN we felt the second wave shake the building.

It could be that the size of the building (~50K sq ft. warehouse style building) meant that we couldn't really feel the smaller shaking between the two peaks, making it feel more spread out than I would have otherwise perceived, but it still felt like quite a long time between peaks*.

Actually I think there may have been a few separate quakes there. I was looking at USGS earlier and it looked like a few small ones over the course of about 3 minutes (unless that has changed since I looked, which is always possible)

I felt one big bump, followed by a VERY slow roll.

There were several before and after, but not within the window that we felt the 2 movements, and definitely not another one within a minute big enough to have felt 90 miles away. The only explanation is the p/s wave separation.

We are closer then you guys but I didn't feel it was very strong at all. The whole thing lasted maybe 10 seconds with a pause in the middle. First half so mild I had to make sure it was an earthquake and not my imagination. The second half some small rumbling stronger then before but anything like one of the last ones I remember that lasted so long and was much sharper.

I felt 2 distinct movements. We're right next to train tracks so at first I thought it was a train. But they go by fast and don't make monitors jiggle towards the end of the rack they are sitting on. Oh and once they leave the slight motion stops.

I missed the whole thing. I was only THINKING about going to the bathroom, but took the pugs out back first. I'm losing my edge.
