I know. Hard to believe. I've gone to that stand for years and gotten pineapple juice and spears. I love pineapple. When I heard how yummy dole whips apparently are, I decided to try one, then they closed the stand.

MBC, you must get one. Preferably when their machine isn't broken--that was the worst Dole Whip I ever had, all warmish and mushy. A proper Dole Whip will be cold enough to make the pineapple juice start to freeze....mmmmm.
Melon & Tangerine Kaki-Gori is the best. HTH copied me. ![]() If only it were warm enough for Kaki-Gori . . . |

HI!

Tell someone in Conneticut, who just twisted their ankle slipping on ice, that 67 degrees isn't warn enough for a Kaja-Googoo.

When it's cold, they do not sell Kaki-Gori.

You are mistaken.
Food & Wine Festival. Overhyped chocolate desserts. Oppressive heat. People walking the other way with Kaki-Gori. Melontangerine Fan says "let's get some of that." Jokes ensue about Kaki-Gori being the best thing at the Food & Wine Festival. |

If that's the way you want to remember it, go right ahead. (Humor her everyone or she might become violent.)
![]() Actually, it was something like that. But I did tell her how good they are before we got them. |

After some consideration, I am going to give a slight preferential edge to Kaki-Gori. It is the more refreshing snack of the two. (Dole Whip, as tasty as it is, does have a bit of a chemical aftertaste - it doesn't bother me at all, but Kaki-gori is much more "pure" in flavor. I also enjoy it's almost zen-like simplicity. Syrup on ice, nothing more. The sound of one lip smacking.)
