Like I say, I need to keep it to a point where I can argue the subject in some sort of rational manner. That has the best chance of succeeding, if anything possibly can. And I'm really not there.

No, it isn't the best way to deal with the situation, but it is usually what I want to do first when I hear about back yard breeders. Because I am so involved in rescue of both pugs and cats and I see how many pure breed and "designer breed" dogs are unceremoniously dumped at shelters, abandoned on the street and killed daily via cars, predators or euthanasia, I tend to get a bit hot headed.
The world doesn't need more puppies when there are so many healthy animals who need homes.
