Though I am a little annoyed that it seems to reset my notification settings with every update, but I wouldn't call using the Android standard for notification settings "sneaky".

I've never had to use this settings window to disable push notifications until I received ICS and the FB app to go with it. Disabling the settings under FB > Account > settings > notifications settings was enough before. Then again I haven't updated my FB app in a long time so maybe I missed some updates that started changing the default notifications.

A good friend of mine does data sales training for VZW and he recommends the Lucid. So, I think it's a good choice.
