Didn't they build a new show section? right before the entrance to the original show building? That would displace some water.

That would be my only speculation, but I cannot see how that displaced so much capacity.

Possibly the way they did the new attractions inside contribute to the capacity loss.

Otherwise, I have no clue.

My guess is displacement. New show building (though flodded), the glass cubes that house the show elements are full of air, new coral walls, ect.

So do you go through a big squeegee under the waterfall ? How do they exclude the water in the show building - or is there still a certain amount of water between you and the show scenes (I imagine the glass walls are close to the sub, thus keeping sets dry and easier to maintain.)
