I forgot my one paid gig as an actor in Berkeley.

Also my brief stint going door to sell tickets and raise funds for a local track meet to benefit Olympic hopefuls that apparently was not going to occur. I knew I didn't have to go back to work the next day when I watched the place being busted on the local news.

Wow.... Many of you have had such incredible jobs.... things I've never heard of!

The things I've been paid to do.......

• Christmas Caroler as part of a quartet nightly in front of a small gift store. (for three seasons) Who in turn hired us to deliever gift baskets to homebound folks and sing to them during the day.
  
• **Lets just say that I was a frequently used, paid soloist, and theater performer from 1985 to 1994 when I quit.
  
• Ran the employee cafeteria, and a popcorn wagon at the zoo.
  
• Waitress: Bob's Big Boy, Allies.
  
• College cafeteria breakfast slave. (I havent really liked eating eggs or pancakes since)
  
• College bookstore slave.
• Live in assitance for a disabled woman with children. Cook/clean/tutor etc
• Daily assistant for visually impared woman.

You know, I wish I could even remember. It was a long, long, long time ago. I remember the Esprit one like it was yesterday for some reason! And I modeled in that one ages before Betsy Johnson. All I remember is that it was in Los Angeles. I remember combing through the wardrobe and being so excited to be wearing the clothing, and a little nervous to wear others. However, it wasn't like a gigantic New York show or the ones you see during Fashion Week (One reason? I'm too short-I'm almost at the 5'7 mark).

I forgot that I once did a modeling assignment for Vidal Sassoon. My hair was long & almost platinum blonde, and they chopped it to my shoulders and dyed it fire engine red. People either loved it or hated it, but I loved it! I thought it was more exciting being a redhead!

I was offered a modeling job when I worked in Hollywood as a receptionist. I wish I would have taken it, but I was too nervous at the time! I was supposed to be covered in silver body paint, in a silver bikini, in rollerskates. I had visions of Buddy Ebson, the original Tin Man, nearly dying from silver paint. Plus, I have to be honest, modeling was not my bag. I wanted to be a writer or journalist more then anything. Plus, I was really young & a little too insecure. In my mind, I'd always be thinking, people must look at me and be like, "yeah, right". I look in the mirror and see a trillion flaws!

I wish I could remember more. However, now I'm old hag.

The best stories come from pet sitting. I wish I enjoyed writing.

Oh yeah, I forgot my foray into the bottom rung of a pyramid scheme health and nutrition company filled with assholes.

Of course, I got most of my money back the first time around, and apparently someone who lost more and his lawyer friend let me hitch a ride to recover most of the rest of what I as owed. Which was surprising. Most class-action suits never seem to get as much back as was lost due to lawyer fees, etc... Whatever.
