Yes, BR is Banana Republic. BR has been an old staple of mine because their clothes tended to fit and they were good for work. Now that my job requires a VERY different style of dress I don't do much shopping at the store any longer. I tend to spend more time shopping the sales at Anthropoligie.

But, Calliope likes the BR bag just fine.

Thanks for that tip! I will have to see what is around here for me, I think there is an Anthropoligie store close by, though.

I went to the Kohl's by my office today (in RSM) and it has bunches of stuff compared to the Kohl's in HB.

I bought a long dressy top to wear with my jeans and an actual dress.

Oooh, that reminds me I need to nip over to Kohl's after work and check up on the super skirt (by check up I of course mean finding a second skirt to "get free" and getting "my skirt" from the customer service desk and finally buying my precioussssss)

Well, they still don't carry the superskirt online, but look what I found! Those are almost identical to the green, black, and cream ones I already have. Soooo tempting to get the pinker shades! Ooh, or the brown (which they call "Bootstrap" hahaha pandering to trends much?)

Okay, I have pictures! Not very flattering shots of what I deem to be very cute items, but deal, at least you can see the items I was talking about.

And the other skirt I got, being worn with an equally cute (though not together, of course!) top, which I also got in burgundy. Since it's blurred to all hell, it's hard to tell all the cute pintucks it has. Makes me think of Edwardian clothes with the high waistline and coming down over the hips.

I got a few more sale items from BR. Another pair of linen shorts, some pinstripe capris, a couple of simple T's and a simple t-shirt dress. Nothing fancy, but great for summer heat beating.
