I loved Tom Snyder (and UI loved Dan Ackroyd's take on him, as well)

he was crusty and a lot of fun to watch.

I remember reading an article on Train travel while riding Amtrak by him. Also he had a pretty cool TV interview with Ward Kimball at his home. They were Playing with all of Mr. Kimball's toy train collection. I believe this is on YouTube.

He may have been a cranky guy, but he sure met a lot of interesting people.
