Be wary of the Magic Wand. Sometimes, there are threads of that color running throughout random mixed up places. I tend to go about it the old fashioned way, which tends to not take too long if it's gone about in a logical way. Erase big chunks, then get down to the details.

There's probably something easier out there.

Every short cut has its problems... even the magnet wand in CS3 has its problems. I tend to use polygon lasso and go around myself, then again I'm using CS3 at school, and CS2 educational edition at home.
