I think it's a miracle when anyone reaches 30 in that part of the world, let alone 50-some years. Especially when one is a female challenging a very patriarchal regime.

She was quite critical of the War on Terror. Funny that she was killed by terrorists isn't it? Anyone else critical of it should be happy to meet the same fate.

Since 9/11 we are in a new age. The Silent majority in this country are tired of those who leach off the system, want thier liberal Ideals shoved down our throats, illegaly enter this country, and sympathize with the enemy. We were attacked because they are jealous of our freedoms and want to bring down the greatest nation on earth. We are the greatest nation on earth because we are blessed by God for being a good Christian nation.

I thank God every day we have a President who can see past the polls and knows what is in the best intrest of worthy contributing members of this society.

Oh. I thought we were a great nation because our forefathers fought for the freedom to speak out against our government when we disagree. Because of the groundwork our forefathers did we have the freedom to dress how we please, worship how we please (whatever deity it may or may not be), we have jobs, food and education available to us, regardless of race, gender or religion. Really didn't have anything to do with god. Just hard working men and women who fought for what they believed in.

If god is so great, then how come we have such a high homeless population? How come we have children who are beaten and otherwise abused, how come we have elderly who go to bed hungry?

Actually, it isn't funny at all. Although she was critical of it(and she even aligned herself with the Taliban at one time) she was also a key to winning it. The more democracy we have in that part of the world the better off everyone will be. With her death our road to victory got harder not easier.

The "silent majority" have not been silent since 1980. We've actually made great progress against the leaches of our society although much work is left to be done. Non-conservatives are not really trying to shove their ideals down our throats anymore.....they're just trying to tread water nowadays. As for illegals entering the country......most of them are actually conservative in nature. They lean Democrat only because of practical reasons.

Well, you're half right. We were attacked because of jealousy. As for being the greatest nation on Earth because we are blessed by G-d for being a good Christian nation.....perhaps, although I think the main reason we are the greatest nation on Earth is that we are comprised of the most adventurous and hard working people. Our Nation is an immigrant nation...moreso than any other. Immigrants tend to be risk takers, hard working, and intelligent individuals....if they were not these things they would have just stayed put. We are the children of these immigrants so we have inherited much of what made them so great....thus, we are a great nation.

Frankly, I don't think Bush has done anything all that special. Like it or not Gore would have done everything Bush has done(including attacking Iraq) in the war on terror. Only big difference would be he probably would have used the war to raise taxes instead of lowering them like Bush did
