Ya know, I was just reflecting at how I was condemned by a couple friends a few years ago for camping with "too much stuff" and "too big a tent", etc., etc.

We did that to a friend once. She had packed her entire wardrobe and god knows what else. She had more stuff on her own than 4 other people combined. We wouldn't let her in the car until she pared it down. And she was eternally grateful to us because she said she felt far more relaxed once she let go of all her stuff.

Of course, that was a situation where we were cramming 5 people and all of our gear into a single station wagon, so it would literally have been impossible for her to bring all of that crap.
