I'm reminded of another story where a county treasurer used the word "niggardly", which means stingy, in a some meeting and was forced to resign because it sounded too much like the N word and people didn't know the meaning.

And it reminds me of a story I heard about a man who almost got fired for using the sentance, "We need to take pedantic approach in our training." in a memo. Some dinglecheese manager thought it meant molesting little boys.
