So. The Matterhorn is 147 feet tall or 44.8 meters. The castle at it's tallest is 77 feet (23.5 meters). Let's say that the short spire near the Matterhorn is half that or 11.5 meters). It will take 2.6 seconds to fall those 33.3 meters. To travel 276 lateral feet (84.1 meters) in that time you'd have to jump out with a speed (ignoring wind resistance) of 72 miles per hour. |
