Play by Skype? Oh, how modern! I think that's a fine idea! Though we'll have to have you show us your die rolling on camera, or someone will have to keep a percentage table on the number of 20s you rolls- and ones you don't...

In this modern world we live in isn't there somewhere on the Net where you can roll a die for D&D? Someone has got to have thought of that one

There are lots of die-rolling apps out there. In fact, here's one for the iPhone that I think is pretty damn nifty:

WotC is going to be rolling out some time in 2009 a digital platform that will enable players in remote locations to play at the same virtual D&D table. It is not an MMO! I saw it previewed at Gen Con and it looks pretty nice. It's part of D&D Insider.
